NEUROMUSCULAR CASE OF THE MONTH - FEBRUARY 2015

From the Journals - The Clinical Phenotype of X-linked Myotubular Myopathy in Labrador Retriever Puppies

Congenital myopathies can be diagnostic challenges since there are very few clinical signs (weakness, variable muscle atrophy or hypertrophy) that can be caused by many different neuromuscular diseases. In this paper, the clinical presentations of two specific myopathies that can affect Labrador Retriever puppies are described and differentiated. These descriptions should be useful to clinicians treating young puppies with a neuromuscular phenotype. For link to full paper click here.
